Workshop Information

Program content :
This workshop falls into 3 parts. Part I will be a review of the
historical development of patent systems around the world, with particular
emphasis on the documentation aspects. Part II will survey the patent
documents from the G7 major industrialised countries plus some additional
significant systems, such as the PCT. Part III will be an in-depth case
study of a single patent family, "from front-page to database", examining
how individual database records and fields are constructed in the major
patent databases.
Attendees will receive a pack of supporting materials which can be used as
reference notes
