I'm pleased to announce that MicroPatent kicked off the
new year by adding new data and new delivery options
to its system.
MicroPatent expanded its full text coverage by adding
national data from Germany and Great Britain to
PatSearch FullText. The new searchable full text covers:
* German granted patents (DE-C): 1989 - present
* German published applications (DE-A): 1989 - present
* Great Britain applications (GB-A): 1979 - present
The GB data is uniquely created by MicroPatent and
isn't available elsewhere. You can search these files
individually or in combination with any of these existing
MicroPatent PatSearch FullText databases:
* US granted patents (US): 1836 - present
* US applications: March 15, 2001 - present
* European granted documents (EP-B): 1991 - present
* European published applications (EP-A): 1988 - present
* WIPO applications (WO): 1978 - present
* Japanese abstracts (JP): 1976 - present
MicroPatent provides the most comprehensive array of
full text patent databases available anywhere in the world
and will continue to add more national countries throughout 2002.
In addition to the new data, MicroPatent enhanced its document
delivery by offering a "Zipped Download" option for easier and faster
transmission of multiple patents. It zips selected documents by the
collection from which they're retrieved (Standard or Special) and
presents them as either .pdf or .tif files, according to your
preference. The .pdf zipped file features bookmarked images that link
to various sections of each document. WinZip is required to unzip and
view these options.
