Dear list members,
Please find below an extract of answers which I obtained.
It seems as if we do not get bored during the last week of the year.
I wish you a HAPPY (and successful) NEW YEAR.
WIth my best regards
Michael Engel
The UK office is certainly proposing to publish every week over the
Christmas/New Year period, although they usually skip at least one week. They
skipped week 1 of 2000, and in 1996-7, when both Christmas Day and New Years
Day fell on a Wednesday, they skipped both.
The EPO will publish during the week 52/2000. It is a normal publication
week for the EPO.
You can expect 1023 A1/A2 documents (applications) and 378 B documents
(Patents).
The publication day will be Wed 27 December.
The USPTO keeps its Tuesday publication date throughout the year,
but the office is closed for other business on Federal holidays. Many other
patent offices close up for the end of the year and change the publication
date
of patents that would have published while they're closed.
