Dear Colleagues,
The patent examination procedure as undertaken by the major patent issuing
authorities quite often requires the applicant to provide additional
information about the invention to the Patent Office considering the
application, in order to help with the progress of the application through
the examination process.
I recall seeing discussions regarding USPTO file wrapper information, but I
would be interested to know whether similar additional information is also
available from the Japanese Patent Office prior to the issue of the granted
patent.
