I am forwarding a message from Patricia O'Neill -- see below.

If you are a PIUG member in good standing (i.e. dues are paid) then you will receive a CINF salary survey in the mail. Please complete it and return as indicated in the mailing.

If you are not an active PIUG member, however, you are an information professional and would like to participate in the survey... then please respond directly to Patricia at oneillpe@plu.edu (not to the entire discussion list) to request a survey. Thank you.

Subject: 2000 CINF Salary Survey

The Chemical Information Division (CINF) of the American Chemical Society is sponsoring a salary survey. This is the third in a series of surveys (starting in 1991) and will, if response is good, allow considerable historical comparison as well as current data. The results will provide current, unique, and authoritative salary information about science information specialists with a focus on chemical information specialist.
If you are not on the CINF, ACRL/STS, or PIUG mailing list and would like a copy - please respond directly to me (Patricia O'Neill- oneillpe@plu.edu ) and I will send you a copy.
Responses from this survey will be accepted until the end of January.
In order to catch your eye, the survey has been printed in blue. It includes a return address of Pacific Lutheran University. It has been designed to allow you to fill it out, refold it and drop it in the mail.
Please take the 5 to 10 minutes this survey requires. The best results come with good returns.
Thank you - and if you have any questions, please let me know.
