Non-member submission from [Carl Oppedahl <carl@oppedahl.com>]
On October 27, the US Patent Office announced that EFS (electronic filing
system for patents) was available for use by the general public. In my
efforts to use EFS I have managed to find a few solutions to some of the
problems that arise with EFS. My guess is that other users of EFS will run
into various problems and will manage to solve some of the problems.
With this in mind, I have set up an EFS users resource page at
http://www.patents.com/efs . So far it contains the handful of things I
have figured out about EFS, and I hope to add to it as I learn more about
getting EFS to work. Contributions to the page will be gratefully accepted.
I have also set up an email discussion group list server for EFS users. My
hope is that everyone who is trying to use EFS will join the group so that
we can all help each other along. To join, send email to
imailsrv@patents.com and in the body of the message, say
subscribe EFS Homer Simpson
except that you should use your own name instead of "Homer Simpson." You
will receive a welcome message. To post to the discussion group, send email
to efs@patents.com. Your email will reach all members of the group.
PLEASE SEND PIUG-L SYSOP REPLIES TO: William.M.Murray@USA.dupont.com
