Sorry to those who will get doubles because they are subscribed to PIUG-L
and CHMINF.

Hello - and a good morning from Japan.

Please, let me say a word about "Help Requests" and saying "Thank you".

Recently, I realized that after answering several "Help Request" via list or
off-the-list, my answer was swallopped by my emailer and left.

That should mean, I didn't get any answer back, saying "Thank you, I
received your comment/help."

In my personal feeling, that is a little bit bad-mannered. If you get
something, I was tought, then you should say thank you. Of course, some
people might not be interested in such 'thank you' replies but I guess many
people are.

I was always feeling grateful for replies, I got. People, who didn't know
me, gave me a part of their knowledge, making my life easier. Not to
mention, that these people found time to answer my request despite them
being very busy.

The least, I can give back, is an email, saying "thank you".

With my best regards
Michael

p.s. I am very grateful to see that so many people are answering help
requests. Thank you to you.
