Dear Listmembers,

I would just like to inform you about recent developments at the
Intellectual Property Rights Helpdesk.

http://www.cordis.lu/ipr-helpdesk

We have redesigned our extensive multilingual website to make it easier
for our users to find and retrieve IPR information.

Remember that among essential items on our website is the tutorial that
we have developed to help laypersons among the SME and R&D communities
understand and use effectively the EPO's esp@cenet database.

There is also the briefing paper on "How much does a patent cost". An
especially interesting item in the light of the Commissions proposals
for the Community patent which are expected to be published this week
and will be available for viewing in our IP News area.

There will be a special item in this months IP-Wire on the Community
Patent proposals, so for your copy send an e-mail to
ip-wire@ipr-helpdesk.org

Finally we are producing a CD-ROM which contains our esp@cenet tutorial
and a full offline copy of the IPR-Helpdesk website, including a video
presentation of our services in English, French and German. The
esp@cenet tutorial is currently being translated into French, German,
Spanish and Italian and will be available shortly on this CD-ROM. If you
would like to request a copy then send an e-mail to
promo@ipr-helpdesk.org
