OASys, the electronic submission system for the ACS National Meeting, to be
held August 20-24, 2000 in Washington DC,
is now online and the Division of Chemical Information (CINF) area is
accepting abstracts. The symposia topics are:

* Careers in Chemical Information
* Copyright and Licensing
* Electronic Notebooks and Related Information
* Federal Chemical and Toxicological Information Resources
* General Session Posters (includes Sci-Mix)
* General Session Talks
* Patent Information (joint with PIUG)
* Skolnik Award Symposium -The Future of Chemical Information
(Awardees:
           S. Heller and George W. A. Milne)
* Through (Clients) Thick and Thin: Challenges in Implementing
Chemical Information
* Virtual High-Throughput Screening

Look for additional information from many of the organizers of these
sessions. To submit an abstract, go to http://www.acs.org/meetings and click
on the large blue button for OASys. There are lots of instructions on OASys,
and most users should have no difficulty using using the system and
submitting and abstract.

***The submission deadline is April 17, 2000*** After this date, OASys is
closed to the public, so don't proscratinate.

Please do not submit an abstract on the old MS Word submission forms. We
will only accept submissions off OASys in cases of hardship. If you have any
difficulty with OASys, please contact either me or the ACS technical
support, which has a support telephone number and email address posted at
the site.
