Access to patent documents via Espacenet

Please ignore my previous message which I tried to recall!

I recently required the complete specifications of three German 'A'
documents found by one of my alerts in Scifinder, and my attempts to locate
these on the various manifestations of Espacenet intrigued and confused me
somewhat so I decided to share these with you.

I thought that I had understood at the EPIDOS meeting in Halkidiki that
searching for a patent on its own National Office site often provided
additional access i.e. the document in addition to the bibliographic
information often earlier and sometimes exclusively when compared with data
found on for instance the EP site or other national sites.

My findings are listed below:-

1. GB patent office -- bibliographic data only
http://gb.espacenet.com/

2. EPO online page http://www.european-patent-office.org/online/index.htm
following link to German office goes to Depanet http://www.depanet.de and
again there was only bibliographic data including titles

3. EPO following link to "Search over 30 million patents" --> National
offices of member states http://de.espacenet.com links to Depanet with the
same result.

4. EPO link to Espacenet.com http://ep.espacenet.com -- hyperlink to
documents http://l2.espacenet.com/dips available as PDF but no titles
available!

5. Scifinder via Chemport link to Espacenet links to
http://dips-2.dips.org/viewer which has documents available.

Incidentally direct acces to the latter named sites doe not seem possible as
I get an "error 403 Directory access failed".

I would be interested in your comments and experiences of both the German
and other country sites when looking for PDF documents corresponding to
bibliographic details found by alerts and other patents searches.
