Hi,

When conducting searches on WPAT (Derwent World Patents Index) on ORBIT we
used to use the "prt preview" command to get the title (at 0.25 cents each)
and then use the command "prt sel disp pn ss x 1-y". This gave us the
corresponding patent family groups to the titles previously printed. Did
any one else do this??

We then used to match them up manually (ie count down x number of patent
family number groups) to match a number with the title. This proved a very
effective way for us to chase up further information from our in-house
patent collection without having to resort to more costly access on WPAT.
But with ORBIT gone, this feature does not seem to have been replicated on
QUESTEL.

My question is ... is there an alternative way of conducting the search on
Questel, STN or Dialog? Will the MAP command on dialog work?

Alternatively, which Network and print format would users recommend as the
cheapest and best way to get a Derwent record with Title and patent number.

Thanks
