Stephen Adams in his detailed response wrote:
"What you are seeing when you get an AU-A number in the family, which
usually happens very rapidly, is that the transfer to the so-called
Australian "national phase" has been finished. There is no Australian
grant yet."
It is worth mentioning that the transferred PCTs into Australian national
phase , the specifications are not published as "a" documents. Even if the
PCTs are not in English, taking into account of the fact that , the language
is English for the Australian national filings.
On the other hand, if the transfers PCTs into EP regional phase, are in any
language other than the three official languages of EP, namely English,
German and French, then they are published as "A" specification, in one of
the official languages of the European patent office.
In the past, I have made mistakes of ordering Australian equivalent of PCT,
only to find that it is the transferred WO application in Japanese.
By the way, do the transfers into Australian Transfers take place much more
rapidly than into other designated countries? Is it true, even if an
application has been made to delay the examination, prior to the expiry of
19 months from the priority date under chapter II?
