Re: FWD: A Y2K problem?

Carl, I ran my standard issue date and series of main US classes search
on Tuesday, January 4, 2000, e.g.,
ISD/20000104 and (ccl/128 or ccl/600 or ccl/601 or ccl/602 or ccl/604
or ccl/606 or ccl/607 etc)
and got search results immediately. I was searching on the Advanced
Search Form of the bibliographic PTO databases rather than the fulltext
boolean database, which works quicker for screening purposes. Then,
should I need to get a specific patent facepage or claims, I merely
click the FULLTEXT button atop that patent's page, then click the IMAGE
link. The bibliogrpahic database loads each new page view much
quicker since each page contains much less data than the fulltext. But
I certainly didn't see any evidence of a Y2K related date searching
problem in the bibliographic database. In fact, the only potentially
Y2K related malfunction I ran into this week was DIALOG's protracted
downtime on Monday, where I was unable to access via TCP/IP
communication most of the business day, nor could I establish modem
communication in the afternoon. Anyone else encounter any potentially
Y2K related anomalies on any of your usual online hosts this week?

Actually, it is just a problem because a new year has occurred.

If you go to the USPTO boolean search patent page at
http://128.109.179.23/access/search-bool.html , you will find that you
cannot search for patents issued in the year 2000.
